Really?? A seven-game losing streak?  Fuck me.  This is the worst streak so far and it's hurting the ego a tad.

Its back to football to try and turn things around.  The Cowboys are lock in this one.  Going big to try and offset some of my recent losses.

That interception to ruin my spread in the Miami/Maryland game definitely hurt.  Perhaps, a little baseball can cure my college football woes.

Day 85 Pick: Miami, +4

With all of the suspension, everyone is expecting the Hurricanes to get blown out of the water.  People need to remember that Maryland still blows and are far away from those years when then contended for the ACC.  Miami will have a tough time, but should emerge victorious.

Day 84 Pick: SMU, +16

An 0-3 start to the college football season makes me wonder why I was so excited for the it to start in the first place.  After posting a winning record in August (17-14), this inauspicious start to September (0-3) has made me realize its probably a good thing I can't afford to gamble.  At least my other pick'ems (AP's Top 25 and Pac-12) are not going as bad.

Im really high on SMU's Kyle Padron and think that he might be able to find some seams in the Aggies' defense.   I don't think SMU will win this one, but they should have enough fire power to keep them in the game late.

Day 82 Pick: TCU, -3.5

The start of the college football season did not equate to a good start to month of September in my 365 Day Betting Project.  However, I did finish August with a 17-14 record, which was very encouraging.

With Today's bet, I am going to go for something called the "middle." In my article "Prediction Against the Spread for the AP's Top 25", I picked Baylor to cover the then 6.5-points given to TCU.  The Horned Frogs opened up as 10-point favorites, but have since slipped down to -3.5.

The "middle" is hoping that the score lands somewhere in between the two bets.  If TCU wins by four or five, I am golden.

Day 81 Pick: Louisville, -29.5

Man, it feels good to write down a football line as a pick.

What better way to start off the football season than picking a winner in the game kicking the season off.  This matchup is so lopsided that most Vegas casinos are not taking bets on it.  I had to go to the good 'ole off shore gambling sites to pull this line.  The best part, it is being televised on ESPNU and I will get to see most of it before class.  

I know absolutely nothing about Louisville this year, which is a bit scary...but, oh well...Cheers to the opening of a new season...Game on!!
