Day 16 Pick: Wimbledon, Lisicki -125 ~ Pre-game

The week of Wimbledon started off a bit rocky, but Luck be a lady tomorrow morning. 

For the first time in this 365 Day Betting Project, this sports junkie jumps over the “crack line” for most sports gamblers…betting on women sports.  Since the men’s and women’s matchups are scheduled on alternate days in the second week, I was forced to turn my attention to the Ladies draw in search of a Wimbledon Winner.

After seeing that every player in my short bank of women’s tennis names were already ousts, I honestly just went with a matchup that Vegas was not leaning heavily one way or the other.

At -125, it appears that it will be a pretty even match against Bartoli, but I trust in my boy Patty Mac. Lisicki's serve was being praised by Pat McEnroe as ESPN’s coverage came to a close and that really stuck with me.

Let's hope this pick is sticky enough to grab onto a win.
