Despite chasing McDonald after 4.2 innings, the Orioles couldn't do any better against the Pirates pen, managing only one hit.
Guthrie struggled to keep the Pirates off the base paths, allowing 11 hits and three walks. Guthrie's five earned runs were more than enough for the Pirates to snap my three-game winning streak.
To add even more shit to the crap pie that I've been eating the past few days, the Giants gave up eight runs in the first inning of tonight's game against the Twins. In case you dont follow baseball, Minnesota sucks balls this season. After the first time through the rotation, Bumgarner could only get the pitcher out. I guess he wanted his ERA to start matching his win-loss record. The Giants' ship is quickly gaining water and they could be in deep trouble if they can't find a way to bring in some runs.
However, tomorrow is another day, which means another chance to get back on the right side of the coin.
