Ljubicic dominated his match against Stakhovsky, winning in straight sets (6-4, 6-4,6-2).
Since I actually managed to win a tennis bet, I figured why not take another stab at it again today. John Isner made himself famous last year, playing in the longest Wimbledon match ever (it took almost 12 hours to complete and spanned over three days).
For those that have not seen him in action, Isner is a tall drink a water that can absolutely smoke the ball across the net. He struggled a bit coming into Wimbledon, but he has showed signs of potential after the first few rounds.
His opponent, Nicolas Almagro, is actually ranked 16th in this tournament, making the -225 in Isner's favor a little bit suspect.
This line was probably written for the American gambler, like myself, and it seemed to worked.
Let's hope that Isner can pull off the rankings upset and prove those Vegas oddsmakers correct. Otherwise, it's probably back to baseball.
